Utopia

Graphic Design for the Artist Anouchka Gwen:

I designed a music cover that combined elements of hair styling with graphic Photoshop collage montage. My vision was to encapsulate the artist's unique identity, mirroring the vibrancy, modernity, and dreamlike essence of her album, in which she explores themes of a utopian future.

Hochparterre Magazine

The goal of this project was to redesign the fictitious Hochparterre architecture magazine, focusing on showcasing the elegance and sleek technology of coil-bound, particularly in its editorial format. This approach offered an innovative way to rethink the cover, which resembled a closed map box, complementing the magazine’s architectural content effectively.

For this issue, we selected the Dreispitz Areal in Basel as the featured architectural subject. Since 2018, this area has transformed into a vibrant new neighborhood, home to the University of the Arts and numerous contemporary architects. Architectural photography was integrated into the magazine, with careful attention to various paper textures, such as glossy and matte, to create visual contrast.

The typography highlighted the modern Swiss typeface "Akkurat," also used by the Swiss brand Freitag, illustrating contemporary Swiss design.

Creating Brand Identity

I conceptualized the identity for a student group with the aim of fostering community connections and growth. The design is intended to reflect freshness and the symbolism of a textile group giveaway, with vibrant and colorful elements.

Studio Pomãlo

In Studio Pomalo, our approach to art direction involves finding a fitting name for each creation after it's completed. From this name, we strive to develop a graphic representation that embodies the essence of the newly crafted piece. Our label is dedicated to creating unique, consciously handcrafted, and upcycled accessories, without adhering to traditional seasonal collections.

"Coisa Linda" places an emphasis on finding beauty in the little things, symbolized by peering through the hole in the ring to highlight details often missed amidst the fast pace of everyday life. The other poster aims to represent the brand's core work concept of crafting handmade accessories from recycled or upcycled materials.

Textile design in collaboration with weavers from Ivory Coast. The project "MARNI À BABI" emerged from a bachelor's thesis in which I had the opportunity to participate. At the core of the project is the recontextualization of non-European textile craftsmanship, brought to life in collaboration with weavers from Ivory Coast. Through an effective partnership with "Mariama Fashion Production" in Abidjan, the project is fictitiously linked to the Italian fashion house Marni. The goal is to establish a genuine and sincere connection between a European luxury fashion brand and the weaving art from Ivory Coast. This elevates the status of the weavers to a luxury level and provides Marni with craftsmanship and storytelling. The resulting textile designs and their creation process are presented and communicated through a book. My part in the project involved abstracting and illustratively interpreting daily life photo impressions from Abidjan. These illustrations were digitally realized by the team, transformed into a weaving pattern, and ultimately served as design templates for Marni's textiles. This graduation project later evolved into a real collaboration, and the realization of one of the patterns is currently was stoped becouse of the Pandemic crisis.
